Created just for school nurses and school nurse administrators, my site will be a place to find unique gifts and resources for those of us who have chosen to practice as school health professionals.
As a high school RN for 10 years, and then director of health services for the last 13, I've had a difficult time finding gifts and educational resources that fit into our "school world;" it seems most companies don't even realize that nurses work in places other than hospitals!
And very few others understand the skills, creativity and autonomy our jobs require on a daily basis!
It's time to celebrate our specialty - taking care of kids in places where they spend a large part of their lives - school.
Please check back in with me often in spring of 2010; I have retired and will now devote time to developing items that are meaningful to those of us who are school nurses and school nurse administrators.
